Tongue Tied

That's what Kacey from Chronicles of a Mommy and I have been. Tongue tied in cyberland. We have done nothing but bond over projects for her twins, photography dreams, and fashion. I can't tell you the amount of late night emails this girl and I have exchanged over shoes, girls.

This is exactly why I love blogging. I have never met Kacey. Only talked with her once on the phone to be exact, and I feel like through our words written and my help designing for the twins, we have a friendship. Just the simple comments she leaves on my blog, make me smile, perk up my day, and at times have me rollin' in the floor laughing. Blogging is a good thing.

Kacey had a problem awhile back. She found a wonderful dress for Ruby Jane that needed something. She wasn't sure what, but definitely something. So she called out for help on her blog.

One simple comment later, and she and I were in full blown tongue tied design sessions for the twins birthday party!
And gladly, k.Mac whisked Kacey off her SAHM feet and came to the rescue. Her twins, Lincoln and Ruby Jane, will celebrate their 2nd year of life this Thursday. On the hunt to plan the perfect party, Kacey inquired about k.Mac services. She wanted her twinkies to look outstanding for their Owl themed birthday party.
For Miss Ruby Jane we added a brown ribbon bow to her pink Ralph Lauren seersucker dress and finished it off with a beautiful monogram in chocolate to match. Now that. That's something. Just look at this cutie pie!

There's crinoline under that skirt. This picture makes me anxiously await the twirl I can only imagine she's about to do.
Then there's Mr. Lincoln. Debonair doesn't fully cut it for this guy at a mere almost 2, wouldn't you agree? Kacey wanted a trendy look for her little man. She opted for a k.Mac handmade tie complete with a masculine monogram to suit this guy up for the BIG 2!

Our child sized ties come in any fabrics you choose with over 60 fonts to select from. Lincoln is ready set to dive into some hooty-hoot cake come Thursday.

And these 2 are on their way. On their way to their next year of life. Loved up beyond measure, side by side along with their big brother, Ryder, they are completely fearless in living life to its maxim.

And so is their mama. The photos of the twins in this post is just the start of her big dreams. She is currently gearing up to begin her journey into photography. It is her passion; her heart's desire. As you can see, she is quickly skilled with the click of the camera. I look forward to watching her business unfold and find the success it is destined for.

And me? Well, I'm happy as punch to be able to have been a part of the twin's birthday celebration, for a new found blog friend who is guaranteed to keep this mama here hip to the game in fashion, and for the opportunity to give something away!

Yes, sisters.
You heard correctly.
In honor of the twins turning 2, I am giving away Lincoln's tie!

No, not HIS actual tie, but a replica of his with any monogram you wish on the front in your choice of color threading.

How do you enter?
  1. Leave me a comment on this post letting me know who this tie will be for should you be the lucky winner. Will it be for your son, a nephew, a cousin, a grandson, a Christmas gift?
  2. And don't forget to tell me one more thing: What's your favorite part about birthdays?

Want to be entered 3 times instead of 1?

No problem. Just follow my blog and consider it done!

I will announce a winner Friday, 9/18.

Tie sizes range from 3 months to 12 years.

Now go find someone new today in blog land to get tongue tied with!
You never know who is just a click or comment away from a connection that could last forever!

Oh I am so lucky you said "chocolate brown" on that post. You poor thing, you didn't even have a clue as to what you were getting in to with me. You know, with my vast array of fashion OPINIONS. {Knowledge would be too strong of a word ;D}

I'm so happy out the Twinkies' outfits. You did an awesome job. You not only gave me great things for my kids to wear, but you had hand in creating keepsakes for us and bringing the Hootin' party full circle with its color scheme. You're a rock star and I am am so thankful!

You did an awesome job on their birthday outfits. And I am fortunate to know exactly how you feel, not just about blogging but about a friendship with Kacey. I never met her either but it's funny how I correspond more with her than most of my other friends.

And I am thankful she told me about you not so long ago. You're incredibly talented, with your words and creations!!!!!

Your creations are so darn cute. Your creativity to take something ordinary into sentimental and extraordinary is a true blessing. Keep up the great work. (I get complements on my bag all the time. I am even sending a friend, Pezz, to your website tonight. Hope she orders something.)
I think the best thing about birthdays is the opportunity it provides you to look back over your last year and make new considerations for the upcoming years. Presents are great, but it is really the time you get to spend with family and love ones that really is special.
If I won, the tie would go to charity. I have three nephews who really don't need anything (and lets face it, I could not decide which one to give the tie to anyway) but would rather give it to a family who is really in need.

I've been sent by Megan. If I win, I'll be giving it to Ben. Birthdays, what I love, the gift God has given us of one more year.

Please enter me in your give-away. The tie would be for my dear little grandson, Ben.

My favorite part of birthdays? Hmmm....well, probably the birthday party, when HAPPY BIRTHDAY is sung, and the (child) honoree gets that shy, happy look on his face, and just don't know where to look and usually end up hiding his face because he's so overcome.

1. I am entering for any of my three boys-and IF I win, I then need to purchase two more! so they all can match.
2. My favorite part of a birthday is planning the theme with matching invatations and thank you cards-I love seeing my boys get excited when I tell them what we are doing for their special day-
3. I am a follower-because you rock-even if I don't win!!!
4. Be on the lookout for a GREAT thing coming in the mail with your name on it, SISTA! I finally got to the Post Office today, not yesterday, because:
a. the dog peed on a bed (!!) that I had just made for our weekend guest (my brother!)
b. the cat threw up after eating a string on a ballon that I TOLD the boys to throw away a long time ago,
c. and my washer overflowed (!!!) as I washed the sheets/comforter that the dog peed on when I had already done several loads of laundy already...
So anyway-
Your special thing with your name on it is on the way!!!

Consider me entered into the contest . . . I'm anxiously awaiting my first baby to be born in just about three weeks and I'd love to have one of those super cute ties waiting for him!

And my favorite thing about his birth day will be holding him for the very first time :)

I think that the tie needs to go to my grandson - Ben Redmon. Son of Meg Redmon. He just turned one and would look great in it. Perfect for his beautiful blue eyes.

My favorite thing about birthdays is the cake.

As far as the best part of birthdays... let me see... besides Birthday Week :o) Homemade ice cream - All my family being together in one place - and that one year I got a cool caboodle for my 6th birthday :o)

I love that Kacey girl!!!

..and I love that sweet tie and those precious kiddos wearing them as well.

I have two boys (and a girl)..so, I guess I'd give the tie to my older boy, he's 6. He likes ties and I think he'd be thrilled with a tie all his own.
